Oud Ispahan is part of La Collection Privée Christian Dior and was composed by Dior perfumer François Demachy in 2012. It pairs precious oud wood with Damascus rose, saffron and patchouli, then rests on labdanum, sandalwood and cedar. The oud is dark and resinous but softened by the rose, so it feels luxurious rather than harsh.
It is a unisex, evening-leaning scent in the collection's clean, apothecary-style bottle.
